5 Monsters Under Your Bed That Could Be Robbing You of a Good Night's Sleep About Networking and Marketing Your Business
I've been winging the setup of my coaching business. All I want to do is coach and help people change their lives. What is all this talk about "business back office"? I am not an administrative or tech-savvy person. How do I get all the "business" stuff done?
Being a business owner is so much different than being an employee. I just need some help with making my business legit and planning how to get things done.
"For wisdom is a protection just as money is a protection, but the advantage of knowledge is this: wisdom preserves the life of the owner." Ecclesiastes 7:12
I have no online presence and know I need to build one. But, who has the time to create all those social media profiles and post on a regular basis? Besides, I only want to talk with my ideal client and they can find me through my website. I don't want to waste my time running all over the Internet to find just the handful of folks I want to help.
I'd really like to learn how to find my ideal client online so that we could connect. Having a small network would be ideal for me and my personality.
"But when you are invited, go and recline in the lowest place, so that when the man who invited you comes, he will say to you, 'Friend, go on up higher'. Then you will have honor in front of all your fellow guests." Luke 14:10
Oh my goodness and gee whiz! I know I need to get out and meet people to build my business. I just don't like walking into a room full of strangers. I prefer smaller gatherings and opportunities to get to talk rather than having business cards thrown at me. I would rather just go, eat the food, and sit by myself.
I want to find the right venues for me to meet new people, in person and online. I just don't know where to look. Arggh!
"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts fear out, because fear restrains us. Indeed, the one who is fearful has not been made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18
This coaching thing is really taking off, which is a good thing. What scares me is the thought of growing too fast. What if all my networking and marketing pays off? Am I ready to handle the success? The limelight? The pressure of being successful? I've always been a behind-the-scenes type of person.
I want to feel at ease with my business growth and connect with other thought leaders. I would love to share my audience with them and be endorsed by them.
"Sow your seed in the morning and do not let your hand rest until the evening; for you do not know which will have success, whether this one or that one, or whether they will both do well." Ecclesiastes 11:6
I started my coaching business by offering free sessions. Then I got a few paying clients and gave them a "Friends and Family" discount. Now, that I've been coaching awhile, I want to raise my rates, but I don't want to scare off potential clients or lose the ones I currently have.
I would love to create coaching packages and my signature program so that I'm not charging by the hour but by the outcome.
"Who of you wanting to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expense to see if he has enough to complete it?" Luke 14:28
